World Class Leaderboard

Does World Class Leaderboard run on R36S?

Yes. Game Gear games are rated Perfect on the R36S (RK3326): they generally run at full speed.

Full-speed on all R36 models. The R36 screen is far larger than the original, so Game Gear titles look better here than they ever did on the hardware.

Nearly square, so it suits the 4-inch square screen of the R36S Plus, R36 Max and R36S Ultra. On the 4:3 screen of the R36S, R36 Pro and R36H it shows with bars at the sides.

Ratings are estimates for the whole Game Gear library on the RK3326 chip, not a test of this one title. Compare R36 models

📱About the Game Gear

Sega's answer to the Game Boy had a backlit colour screen in 1990, years ahead of Nintendo — at the cost of six AA batteries per six hours. Internally it is Master System hardware, so much of its library is shared.
