Sega Dreamcast was ahead of its time when released in 1998. It was the first console with a built-in modem for online gaming and featured impressive arcade-quality graphics.
On R36S (RK3326): 2D-heavy arcade titles (CPS2 ports, fighting games) run reasonably; demanding 3D games like Shenmue or Sonic Adventure 2 have noticeable slowdowns. On R36 Max/Ultra (RK3566): most Dreamcast titles become playable.
The R36 handheld family runs Dreamcast titles with limited compatibility out of the box.
